In 1986 L.A., an Iranian Jewish refugee navigates womanhood, marriage plots, and her own desires for selfhood under the eyes of a tight knit and wealthy ancient Jewish society airlifted from a Tehran suburb into the hills of L.A.

At Terman Academy, an elite all boys boarding school, the students are all reaching for their greatest human potential. Everything is quantified, measured, and as scholarship student Emi Castillo finds out about the school's Eugenicist origins, he must choose between exposing the truth and securing his own future in the tech world.

Leo dies. Julide survives. At Oxford, a star cross'd romance ends and Julide must piece herself together after her lover's demise, and search for the truth behind Leo's death and who he really is.
